INSTALLATION OF A TRAMWAY BRIDGE IN BOLOGNA!

192 TON. 54 METRES OF BOOM. ONE CHALLENGE: BOLOGNA.”

BRIDGING THE TASK.

A major lifting operation carried out in the heart of an urban environment, where precision, planning and operational expertise are essential.

Autovictor was involved in the installation of the new tram bridge over the Navile Canal, positioning a steel structure weighing approximately 192 ton, with a 46-metre single span.

The operation was performed using the Tadano CC 38.650-1, configured with 54 metres of boom, demonstrating its exceptional lifting capacity and versatility in a demanding urban setting.

Working in a built-up area means dealing with additional challenges: limited working space, existing infrastructure, traffic management and the need to coordinate every phase of the operation with maximum precision.

In such conditions, the success of a heavy lift depends not only on the crane's lifting capacity, but also on the engineering, planning and operational expertise behind it.

From site assessment and crane configuration to load management and final positioning, every detail is crucial when a structure of this size has to be moved safely and precisely within a complex urban environment.
