Installation by Specialized Crews
Autovictor deploys highly specialized installation teams operating under the supervision of a site engineer, ensuring continuous monitoring and control throughout every phase of the project.
Cut-and-Cover Tunnels: Circular and Rectangular Sections
The installation of precast cut-and-cover tunnels represents one of the most complex and technically demanding activities within the heavy lifting and structural erection sector. These structures are generally employed in railway and road infrastructure projects and require extremely high installation accuracy to ensure both geometric continuity and structural integrity. For the installation of circular sections, Autovictor employs a dedicated system consisting of a specially designed lattice-frame structure that enables the precise positioning of arch segments, supported by mobile cranes to achieve millimetric installation accuracy. For rectangular-section tunnels, Autovictor relies on its extensive fleet, ranging from telescopic handlers to all terrain cranes, together with its long-standing industry experience, to ensure the precise positioning of vertical wall elements and roof beams. In these operations, accuracy and execution speed are essential to guarantee safety and reliability.
Precast Structures for Logistics Facilities, Manufacturing Plants and Office Buildings
Precast structures intended for logistics warehouses, manufacturing plants and office buildings are characterized by a high degree of modularity. However, they also require versatile equipment and carefully coordinated sequential erection activities, an area in which Autovictor has extensive expertise.
The installation of main beams, columns and wall panels is primarily carried out using all terrain cranes, which provide excellent mobility and stability even on unpaved surfaces. Whenever the weight or location of the structure requires it, crawler cranes are integrated into the lifting operation, particularly for deep installations or works in areas with limited accessibility.
In confined spaces or for handling secondary components such as panels, lightweight beams and façade elements, telescopic handlers are employed to ensure operational flexibility and efficiency.
Bridges, Viaducts and Retaining Walls
The installation of precast elements for bridges and viaducts represents the highest level of logistical and engineering complexity. Prestressed girders, deck slabs and bridge decks require the use of high-capacity cranes, often operating in tandem configurations and, in certain cases, with the support of SPMTs (Self-Propelled Modular Transporters) for positioning and installation at height.
Where ground conditions are particularly challenging, both wheeled and crawler cranes within the Autovictor fleet provide superior lifting capacity and stability, while telescopic handlers are employed for auxiliary handling operations and the installation of secondary equipment. Precast reinforced concrete retaining walls, frequently installed alongside road and railway infrastructures, require particular attention, beginning with a detailed in-house pre-planning study carried out by the Autovictor Engineering Department.
The installation process involves the use of different crane types selected according to the weight and dimensions of the components, as well as site ground conditions. Installation activities must comply with strict alignment and inclination tolerances, making the use of lifting equipment equipped with hydraulic levelling systems, as well as laser or GPS guidance systems, essential for the accurate positioning of each element.
